Bryan Collins is currently an NFL FA. He was signed as a UDFA to the Houston Texans on April 27, 2013.
Bryan was released by the Texans on August 26, 2013 during the first cut to trim the roster to 75 men.
He was signed to the Packers practice squad on September 1, 2013 and released from the Packers practice squad on November 19, 2013 to make room for injured draft pick, J.C. Tretter.
He spent the NFL offseason as an OL starter for the Orlando Predators of the AFL.
As a freshman, he started the first two games at right tackle and saw time in 11 games. He blocked for an SMU offense that passed for a school record 3,666 yards, scored a school record 380 points and rolled up a school record 5,093 yards of total offense. He was named to the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
During his sophomore season, Bryan started the final three games of the season and saw time in 13 games. He blocked for an offense that totaled a school-record 3,861 passing yards and added 1,943 yards on the ground.
In his junior year, he saw action in nine games, including two starts late in the season. He blocked for a running back who led the league in rushing and an offense that ranked third in the league in passing offense. The team scored 336 points (sixth best all-time at SMU) and racked up 5,052 yards of total offense (fourth at SMU).
Bryan started every game his senior season and earned All-Conference Second Team Honors.
