Jeremy Johnson (WR)

Jeremy Johnson was a UDFA in the 2014 Draft Class who signed with the Patriots. He is currently an NFL Free Agent.

Senior (2013): Jeremy led the team in receptions with 112 for a team-high 1112 yards (92.7 per game), including a long of 66 and 6 touchdowns. SINGLE GAME RECORDS: Two of the top 10 reception totals in a game, against Rutgers (1st, 18) and at USF (6th, 13)…first in single-game receiving yards, with his performance against Rutgers (217)…second in single-game touchdowns (3). SEASON RECORDS: First in 10+ reception games (7)…fifth in 100-yard receiving games (5), fifth in receiving yards (1112) and first in receptions (112). CAREER RECORDS: First in 10+ reception games (8), sixth in 100-yard receiving games (7), 11th in receiving yards (1936) and fifth in career receptions (196). AWARDS: All-American Athletic Conference Second Team selection, Preseason All-American Athletic Conference Third Team (Athlon Sports), Biletnikoff Watch List, Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Semifinalist, National Player of the Week by the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award (Rutgers) and National Wide Receiver of the Week by College Football Performance Awards (Rutgers).


Junior (2012): Jeremy was named All-Conference USA honorable mention. He played in all 13 games, making 12 starts and led the Mustangs with 67 grabs for 679 yards and three TDs. He had 11 catches for 106 yards and a TD at Tulane and  a co-team-high eight receptions and team-high 97 receiving yards against Southern Miss. Jeremy notched nine catches for 94 yards and a score against Houston. The team posted top-10 school efforts in scoring, scoring average, total offense, passing yards, passing TDs, completions, attempts, completion percentage and first downs among others.


Sophomore (2011): Jeremy played in 10 games making one start. He caught 16 balls for 146 yards and a touchdown. In his first career start at TCU, he put up career highs in receptions (six) and yards (69), and caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime.


Freshman (2010): He played in five games and caught a pass at Rice.

Jeremy was signed to the Patriots on June 12, 2014. He was released on July 17, and signed to the Bengals one week later on July 24. He was waived by the Bengals on August 8.
